Conrail pack - A bonus?

I have (and love!) the Conrail pack. Conrail was the primary railroad in my region for as long as I can remember, up until the breakup into NS and CSX.

Sadly I can't say that I really remember the E/F unit era.

The package includes F7A #1648 in that old school Conrail Blue that I remember quite well. Sadly there is no matching "B" units for it, just some in a much darker color.

Is there any chance for a matching blue painted "B" unit or was this something the railroad simply never had in inventory?

CONRAIL had about 4900 locomotives initially. Of these only 160 were F7 and F3 A&B units. All were off the roster by 1980. I have never seen a B unit in Blue.

Sadly, this is what I expected we would find.

Although one never existed, I would be glad to have one as a fictional "What If" item at any point in the future, if you decided to do one.

Until then, the set as it is is fantastic.

I grew up watching Conrail freight, mostly pulled by SD40s and similar locomotives, roll through my town all day and all night long, so I guess I have a soft spot for Conrail Blue!
