All,
I was tinkering a bit tonight, and attempted an update on the Blomberg trucks on BLW's older model EMDs. Here are what I consider to be the successful results:
Before:
After:
I copied the "NWheels.ace" file from the MKT F7s and renamed it to "wheels" so that references in the S file would not be problematic. I did this for the NP North Coast Limited set as well as the MILW Hiawatha set.
Has BLW ever considered offering the ability to do this via a self-extracting installer? |

Looking good! I've been experimenting with similar stuff recently. My most successful attempt was with the C628s.

If you make that you need to rework the transparency on the ace because the new wheels is more rounded and new mapped
and i add more parts on new bogies

That C628 looks sharp Max.
Gaetan, I did notice the "gapping" between the wheels and the bogie itself. For right now, I'll take the tradeoff of having a truck shape with more definition. I do have backups of the originals, so if I ever change my mind, I can revert back somewhat easily. |
