Hi All,
With the hard work and encouragement of two talented re-skinners, Chris Parker and Max Brisben, there will be a new set forthcoming from BLW/ZT:
The Rutland Railroad 1956
This set is being built for a new route under construction by Paul Charland; the Conn River route. This route covers southern Vermont in 1956, including B&M, Central Vermont and Rutland trackage, as well as short line or two. However, the set will be equally at home on other Northeast routes (Stowe Northern as an example).
The BLW/ZT Rutland set will include ALL* of the motive power on the Rutland in 1956, plus specific unique freight, passenger and express rolling stock.
Stay tuned for more information ....
* GE 70 tonner #500 will be released as freeware at trainsim.com _________________ Rick Franzosa - ZosaTrains

Cool Rick,
Sounds like RS1s RS2s, Boxcars, Cabooses and maybe even Heavyweight coaches, perhaps, maybe.
Cheers Ross |

Hi Ross,
There have been a few progress shots over at Elvas Tower.
Here's one, taken on Paul Charland's new (under construction) Conn River Route. This shot is at Bellows Falls, VT with some of the new equipment from the Rutland set

I am just curious about something. Who owns the Rutland line today that Paul is working on in MSTS/ORTS? What I mean is who owns that line today in the real world? Does NS or CSX or CP own the line?

The line that Paul is modelling is based on 1955, the trackage is predominantly Boston& Maine with some Central Vermont and Rutland.
Today, the area covered by Paul's route (south east corner of Vermont) is New England Central (former CV & B&M) and Green Mountain Railroad (former Rutland).
A GREAT source for modern day photos of the area is Kevin Burkholder:

Thanks

OOOPS!!
I forgot to mention Amtrak.
The area is very interesting, over the past few years there have been rumors about P&W and NS both becoming more involved in Vermont.
Stay tuned! _________________ Rick Franzosa - ZosaTrains
