About five years ago, when my son was commissioned as a 2nd Lt in the US Army, I created a troop train set for BLW/ZT and offered it on the valleypass website.
I decided to donate my proceeds for November 2008 to an organization here in Cincinnati that supports the troops; http://www.det3.us/index.html
I eventually decided to continue the donations year-round.
When 2009 rolled around, my son was in Iraq. I decided to add bonus content to the set, so that I could get some new customer donations for DET 3.
Well, to make a long story short, I have now added new content every November, and donated hundreds of dollars to DET 3, thanks to you.
For 2013, I have created a model of a Baldwin DS-4-4-1000 similar to those used a Crane Naval Weapon Center in Crane, IN. Again, all of my proceeds will be donated to the troops. I will have the model completed in time for Veterans Day.
Thanks again for your donations.
Rick

Good day Rick, well done Sir...sign me up for your new unit for Uncle Sam's Men and Women surving in uniform and to those who have served. When and where do I place my order and give my donation? Have been donating each year since you have started and hope you keep it going. Skip |
