Hi! I 've been trying to run again this activity and I keep having the following problem :
- after the first AI train (C&O TOFCs) arriving from the left has passed using the interchange track, the signal for the player's train changes to green; however there is then a Monon train arriving from the right and if the players does not wait despite the green signal, there is a collision between his train and the Monon train;
- even if the player wait on the siding despite the green light in his favor, then arrives on the mainline he is waiting for a C&O coal drag that collides with the above-mentioned Monon train, which has not yet vacated the diamond.
I've been trying on both Monon 2v10 and Monon 2 v15 with the same result (am I correct to believe that this is the same route with scenery improvements but no changes in track and signalling?).
Is it possible for this issue to be looked into and if possible solved? I would greatly appreciate that in order to use the payware stuff I've purchased from BLW/ZT as I have no time available to create activites myself or even simply change consists in existing ones. Thanks!

I am prety sure track did change. Many older activities do not work now, and I have had only mixed success trying to correct broken paths.

Hi Pinchroller,

I created the activity.

The problem is in the way that MSTS signalling works. I spent MANY hours trying to find a way around the issue to no avail.

It looks to me like crossing trains have no impact on signalling. In addition, the signal has to clear for the other C&O train to pass you.

You need to wait for all of the AI trains to pass (I believe there are four, the C&O TOFC train, the Monon autorack train, the C&O freight that passes you on the adjacent track and the coal drag).

Once they have all passed, you can proceed without any problems.

I'm sorry for the difficulty.

Thanks for the confirmation. The problem is that, as I explained, two of those AI trains collide: the C&O coal drag that is overtaking the player's train runs into the Monon train that is crossing the diamond coming from the right on the other mainline. And then the activity ends because the two AI trains have collided (and there are C&O hoppers all over the place anyway). So even if you wait you still can't run the activity.

I'll try to take a look at it in the next few days. I'm in the process of changinf computers, so I don't know if I'll have the opportunity for a while.

Hi Pinchroller,

I could not make it happen. When I run the activity, the Monon train clears the crossing before the C&O train arrives.

Do you move the player train at all? The player train should not move until the three AI trains have cleared.

If you still have problems, I will send you a new traffic file that removes one of the AI Trains.

thanks! I'll try again. Perhaps releasing the brakes just a tad was enough for a very small movement that triggered what you describe. If this was the case, sorry for thre trouble!

Thanks to Glenn Duba, the C&O Monon activity now has an updated version for v15. Changes include:

Start time for the C&O coal drag, eliminating the at grade collision between it and the Monon auto rack train.

Moved 2 loose consist that start in collision at the Monon-GTW interchange.

Thank you very much! Would it be possible to also have this activity as MSTS files (ROUTES/ACTIVITIES, CONSISTS and so on), and not as an .apk? Reason is that I had a major windows-related problem with my PC and MSTS now runs from a separate HDD. As a result the registry is a big mess; unpacking .apk doesn't work anymore and I can't even reinstal the TS-Unpacker utility. Thanks in advance!

I have never been able to successfully download Monon-2 v12, which is required for v13, 14, 15 upgrades. I can ask Glenn if he would be willing to package up the activity as folders, but until I can get past my download issues, I have nothing to offer but the APK.
