 Wow! Superb Gaetan! I remember building several of these switch panels, especially the 80 footer in Proviso Yard, winter of 03. I believe I may have witnessed one or two that have been dropped into a gon and transported to the scrapper, as for the many others, just a lot of manual labor taking them apart while they were on the ground. I agree, these are very prototypical. I'd better be purchasing these soon!
