Hello to all! I'm trying to play the latest activity created by Mr Franzosa; "MSTS Freight Activity for the Monon 2 v9 Route - Washout on the PRR". Its lools very fine with a good scenario and the Monon route is really excellent. However I'm running again and again into the same problem : just when I am finished running around the consist with the Monon F3s in order to re-start towards Monon, a Monon passenger train arrives on the same track in the opposite direction, and stops only after the switches that would allow the player's train to cross over to the other track. Both trains remain stuck here. Am I doing something the wrong way or is there a glitch in the activity ?
Thanks!

What time is it when you the passenger train arrives? It's timed to get there after you have left Reynolds (F10 will show you the time)

Perhaps I' m doing the run-around job to slowly. The first time I was still running the Monon F3s towards the switches when the passenger train arrived. Second time I tried to make the turn-around as fast as I could but still just as I left with the complete PRR-Monon train, I got a red light and the passenger train came and stopped in front of my train. Would it be possible to delay a tad the arrival of that train ?

I just check the max velocity of the Hoosier: 40 meters/sec - 90 MPH. Due to the rain, I would think we could cut that in half Cool

Find the "BLW_ZT_HOOSIER.con" file in your CONSISTS directory. Open it in notepad, and change the Max velocity line from:

MaxVelocity ( 40.00000 1.00000 )

to

MaxVelocity ( 20.00000 1.00000 )

That should slow him down enough.

Sorry, still no luck. When I finished the run-around job and switched cab to the front Monon F3, the signal was already red (due to the in-coming Hosier I suspect). Time was 09:21. Thanks for your attention.

Did you try pulling forward? When you couple to the PRR Cabin, the reverse points should clear, and when you pull forward the you should get a green signal.

At 9:21, the Hoosier should still be in Monon, IN, plus, the player train always has priority. I don't understand why you are being stopped.

I won't get access to my computer at home until tomorrow night. I've rewritten the activity, but I haven't tested it yet. Thanks for your patience.

Many thanks for your interest. Yes I did, I pulled up to the signal before the diamond - already red. The Hosier came at the same time from the opposite direction on the same track and stopped in front of (if I remeber well) the signal on the other side of the diamond. Best regards

OK. Once I've fixed this, I will repost it on this forum and the trainsim.com file library.
