I wish to thank you for your prompt and courteous response to my problem with my recent purchase of the "BN Package." I have received and successfully downloaded the BN package and bonus. After reviewing my thoughts about what happened during this transaction, I am 98% sure that it was an error on my part. I think I went directly to Paypal, but did not click on "Return to Merchant." I apologize for my oversight in the procedures - I am continually learning (but not retaining) all the little "bits and pieces" about how to operate a computer.
As to the "gap" problem I am seeing in some of the cars of the "ATSF Freight Pack" when coupled to other cars from MSTS, I stress that the rolling stock performs beautifully - there have been no loose consists or derailments attributed to these cars. I just happened to notice this gap when I zoom in with the different camera angles. Seen from a normal perspective, the gap is not that noticeable. I will attempt to secure a screen shot of what I am writing about and post it to these forums so that you will have a better picture. Thank you again. |

No apology necessary. We are all human.
Every pack I release has been fully tested and reveiwed by me, and EVERY TIME Gaetan and his testers find something I missed. Then, once released, it's not uncommon for our customers to find things as well.
I won't speak for Gaetan, but I welcome these posts. The customers I worry about are the ones that don't like what they see, but just accept it.

Hi
Not sure about the gap you are seeing. Some of the settings used for 'realism' do allow for a bit of stretch between couplers when under high pulling power; because the graphic doesn't stretch, a gap can be visible.
Without the settings used for the couplers, you would be back to the good old MSTS days where front coupling was a PITA and couplers would be breaking at some locations.

I made a "print screen" of the "gap" problem with some of the rolling stock from the ATSF Freight Pack. I attempted to post it to the forum page, but the system will not take a .wps document. I am asking for someone who has infinitely more knowledge and experience on computers and posting images to this website to send me some directions or suggestions on how to post this particular screen shot and screen shots in general. Thank you. |
