This really looks like an F7 cab with the can-style control stand. I'm glad you were able to create this, as the cab issued with previous releases appears too modern at times with the 26L brakes, digital speedometer, and digital radio. A most welcome addition, and another great reason to pick up the NP freight pack!!
Thanks again,
Tyler |

Excellent work, Gaetan
This rivals the work of 3DTrains (Marc's F Cabs were outstanding and functional) and the Train Artisan F Cabs that were issued with the American Classics set. I'll buy the NP set just for the cab views !
You have definitely set the table for the evolving Open Rails simulator.
Happy Holidays,

That indeed looks much better over the previous cab. Hey, I have one of those radio sets in my basement! _________________ Thom |

Hello,
I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiments expressed by the other posters that it would be great to have eventually the vintage cabview used in other sets. I would be willing to purchase a vintage cabview set.
Rick or Gaetan, Can you pleas comment on the status of the backlog of BLW projects, which Rick told me a while back was because of the unavailability of photos for cabs? '
Thank you for the wonderful models you both create.
Happy Holiday
Sincerely,
Walter

Hi Walter,
The backlog would be any non-turbocharge 567-engined EMD products that we have not already covered. We've done Fs, Es, GPs and SDs. That leaves the switchers:
TR1A, NW2 and TR2, NW3, NW5, SW1, SW7, SW8 (and TR6), SW9, SW600, SW900, SW1200, SW1200RS, RS1325 and GMD1
and chop-nose versions of GP9 & GP18 models
In order to do anything newer, we would also need new sound files (turbocharged 567 engines, 645 engines, not to mention GE locomotives)

This new cabview looks very good. Besides being available separately, what packs is it included in? Monon? |

Very nicely done. I'm trying to figure out the purpose of the red lever on the right side of the cab. I don't think it's an emergency brake valve. Looking at the valve the handle's on, it looks like a horn or bell valve (the handle pushes down on a tab that would open the valve.) Any idea what locomotive the photo was taken in? I can't find anything that references it in the F3, F7 or E8 owners manuals I have, so I'm guessing it was something added on by the owner. _________________ Thom |

Hmm for me it's looks like a emergency brake valve, we have this in Sweden on some engines and EMU's. Just only pull it and get back for cover. |
