I have downloaded all the GN activities from this site to my computer and tried to put the activities into my Activities folder under my Great Northern Hi-Line route. They are in there, but are not ACT files, something about Game Spy. I tried to run the simulation and the activities do not show up for the GN Hi-Line. What do I need to do to install these files correctly ??? Thanks, Rocky

Thought I'd bump this one up again. I've tried clicking on the icons after moving them to the activities under the GN Hi-Line route and I get an error message saying it is corrupted or my disc is full(which it is not). I tried the properties on the files and it says that they open with "Aphid" Is there something else I need to get to open the files ??? I have downloaded the freeware as per instuctions in the read me document. So what do I need to do ??? I DID buy all of the GN payware sets, so that is not an issue. Thanks, Rocky

Hi Rocky...

The activities from BLW for the GN-High Line are packed in *.apk files.
You just need double clicking the .apk file to unpack the activities after installing trainset and route where need to play the act. But there is a bug of msts. You need to patch your MSTS folder. You found the tsunpackfix here: http://www.activitysimulatorworld.net/Les_utilitaires/TSUnpack-Fix..htm . Just download and install the patch. After that you can install *.akp activity packages by doubleclick. I hope it help....

Hi Rocky,

There is another approach I have used with .apk files that's a little odd, but seems to work. I changed the suffix to something else (I think I used .ton).

Then, when I click on it, it asks for the program needed to run a ".ton" file. I choose the 'browse' option, then browse to 'TSUNPACK.exe' in the MSTS Utils directory.

I don't know why, but it works.

Rick

Hi Rick,
Yep, that worked Smile Thanks again !!!!
Now I did see that some of the activities wanted to be run on Hi Line Ver 4 and some on Ver. 3. I went ahead and went from Ver. 3 to Ver. 4 and a bunch of stuff was all screwed up Sad So I reloaded Ver. 3 again and the game works. I hope the other activities that want Ver. 4 will run, but we'll have to see when I get all the other freeware cars unzipped and into the trainset folder. I'm crossing my fingers Wink Rocky
