I am SO EASILY DISTRACTED....

Now that I've finished the UNPLANNED Blue Comet, Black Diamond and NS OCS set... I have 'unfinished business'..

Amtrak Heritage South East - Silver Meteor, Silver Star circa 1974

The EB mega set - GN 1947 Empire Builder Passenger Set and the GN 1951 Empire Builder Passenger Set - (texture fixes)

The Reading set
- (cab units done, hoods, freight and passenger cars remain)

After that??

.... probably another interruption!!!
Cool

Hi Folks just trying to understand what is going on here, i recieved a mail to say the new set 1947 and 1951 GN Empire builder set is out, when i looked in my trainset folder as it sounded familiar i found i already had BLW sets for both EB on the 1947 with the same engines and the 1951 with similar nos, is this set an upgrade or something else, i have been pretty busy lately so may have missed any threads relating to it, so slightly confused

Maybe "after that" would be a good time to do a Southern passenger and a Southern freight set.

To add: GN E7As #503 and #505 were released as bonus models some time ago. The new release contains E7As #500 and #502. The textures have been reworked (for example the colours are less saturated), so the new models are not just renumbers of the bonus models.

As far as I know all cars of the 1947 and 1951 EB trainsets plus the GN F3s have not been released before.

Uli,

That is correct. Additionally on the E7s, the models represent the original E7 with the side-mounted number boards. I created the new number boards for my FT and have since used them on F2 & F3 models (PRR & B&M), but this model and PRR green E7 (PRR set 3) are the first E's we have released with the original boards. The bonus #503-505 had the later style angle number boards.

There will be a bonus FT A-B-B-A set shortly for activities using the '47 Builder, and I will probably also do a bonus with some of the '47 cars relabeled 'Great Northern' instead of 'Empire Builder' for other GN trains.
