Hi! Would it be possible for L&HR 1940 activites to be updated for the newest version of the route? I purchased the necessary BLW/ZT sets to run them, but they don't work with the current updated version of the route to be found on train-sim.com ("the installed track databese for this route is version 1750, the activity was built on version 1086") and attempts to use them lead to a sim crash. Many thanks

This is not good. There have been changes to the track that have corrupted my paths. Unless someone has a magic way of changing the middle of a path without redoing the entire path, these activities will have to be rewritten from scratch.

Frankly, I don't know when I will be able to do this, some of the originals took a significant amount of time and I have less time available now.

It might be faster to reinstall the original route without updates and use the activities as is. I can't say when I will be able to rewrite them.

I'm really sorry about this, I didn't expect it to be a huge problem.

Rick

ALL RIGHT... I ADMIT IT... I PANICKED!

I forgot all about the old 'delete broken path points' deal in AE. The first four activities are fixed and will be uploaded here and at trainsim.com tonight as one upload.

Sorry guys, tough weekend. Embarassed

Rick

I updated all of the L&HR 1940s activities that I wrote to the latest version of the route.

The three New Haven activities that I wrote for the original L&HR could not be updated, the changes that Rich Shirey made in Maybrook are too difficult for me to fix. Some of the paths actually start and end in locations that no longer have track!

As these activities were written to reflect the New Haven in the 1950s-60s, I will most likely rewrite them for the L&HR 1940s route, rather than the 1968 version.

Rick,

I have seen this option, but I have not figured out how to repair a broken path using it. Each broken path point which I delete just causes the next point to be broken, and so on, which I suppose eventually will delete the entire path. Easier to just start over, seems to me. I must be missing something.

Norman,

You can delete the broken path node, then drag the path to the next good node and save the path. The path should pop back to the route next time you open it.

The only places I've had a problem with it is if the bad node is at the start of the path, or, in one case, the entire path is bad nodes.

Give it a try!
