MSTS Passenger Activity for the Monon 2 v9 Route
Train #1, the "Varsity" northbound. Requires 1 payware and 9 freeware sets.
Monon's "Varsity" ran briefly during 1950 and 1953, between Bloomington, IN (home of Indiana University) and Chicago.
The #1 ran Friday afternoons to Chicago, #2 ran from Chicago to Bloomington on Sunday afternoons. Both trains ran
during the school year, serving the four colleges along the line between Bloomington and Chicago.
This is a very demanding activity and requires a bit of attention.From Bloomington to
Lafayette it's a bit of a roller coaster,so your constantly adjusting your throttle and
breaks along with the many whistle posts,my advice is to stay within your cab.For an
added extra,try running with the deadman's switch on.
The schedule is very tight,but do-able.Regardless of what the top track monitor says;
mind the limits on the left side.Remember passenger safety comes first and you can make up time along the way.
If you use Kosmos,use the JBQuietRain2". It makes it look more gloomy midwest spring like
