Just got the RI and GTW packs yesterday and wanted to point out a few minor errors and or problems I noticed.
In the Rock Island set, the E units have steady burning lights in both the upper and lower headlight ports.
Depending on the unit most RI passenger power had some sort of upper housing warning light ( apparently the single light was fine for freight but they wanted that extra safety measure with passengers)and would either be the standard "figure 8" Mars/Gyralight (ala the F units in the MILW Hiawatha packs)or in the case of the particular RI E represented the twin sealed beams in the upper housing would alternate bright and dim in a fashion that would replicate the Mars light "wobble".
I'm not sure if MSTS light parameters allow for that but if not maybe a patch can be issued to at least put a Mars light effect in the upper housing.
With the GTW set, when running the F3s in the provided freight consist it seems that the trailing F3's headlight is linked to the lead unit(example I switch off the lead units headlight and trailing unit goes out as well, lead unit goes bright so does trailing unit) since my experience with the RI is far more extensive than with the GTW for all I know the trailing unit light on was SOP for GT but I thought I'd mention it in the event it was a glitch of some sort. |
