Hello Everyboby...
With the MSTS Unpackager, for the "Files.apk". (in Utils) not runs correctly.
I have downloaded,from "Train-Sim" 's Web the TSUnpack and its TSUnpack-fix.....This Unpackager works correctly....but only with the Default Directory ( C\program files\microsoft games\train simulator...OK
My question,it's possible to choose an other Directory ??...if Yes How ??
.....Here the time is 6h30 PM..the weather is nice...and the Mediterranen sea is quiet....Well!! I am going to fish, with my boat.
Sincerely. Jean Claude. |

Hello Jean-Claude,
as far as I know the Unpackager always unpacks activities to the Train Simulator directory that was entered in the registry when you installed MSTS. If you moved your MSTS to a different directory afterwards, the unpackager will still use the original directory. I think there is no way to "tell" the Unpackager to use a different directory.
One workaround may be to create a "dummy" MSTS installation in the original directory, unpack the activity to that installation, and then copy the ACT, SRV, PAT, TRF and CON files to your "real" MSTS installation.
A "dummy" MSTS installation should have the structure "C:\program files\microsoft games\train simulator\routes\route_X" and "...\train simulator\trains\consists". "route_X" stands for the folder name of the route you want the activity to unpack to. I am not absolutely sure what files are absolutely required in this route folder for the Unpackager to recognize it, but if you copy all files (not subdirectories) from the folder of the respective route from your "real" MSTS installation, it should work.
I hope this doesn't sound too complicated. Maybe some other forum member knows a better way to solve your problem!
Uli
P.S.
I hope you had a nice fishing trip! |
