Gaetan,
Your new Maybrook Set looks great. You mention that it's for Rich Shirley's newly created "Back Dated 1940's Lehigh and Hudson River Route". Is this a brand new route or is the one that came out about a year ago? If it's new, where can I get it?
Thanks, James |

You can now grab it on trainSim.com
It's a new route - standalone.

A very big shoutout to Rich Shirey for creating an incredible route tailored to both switching and through-train activity . I've run MLT's Delaware & Hudson (with a lot of Gaetan's creations) and this one brings back a bushel basket of pleasant memories.
Now, an amusing story: I downloaded the route, installed it and proceeded to be totally LOST! So, I downloaded the maps from the previous LHR, and still got LOST! I'm a west coast guy who knows little or nothing about the east. My vintage 1973 Rand McNally Handy Railroad Atlas gave me some hints, but only that. Finally, since I needed to do it anyway, I built a template for Skyline Computing's MSTS Activity Generator and literally discovered the scope and size of this route and its countless, and maybe limitless possibilities. I've mapped some of the larger areas, but all the intervening industries are awaiting "discovery". Now I can explore and enjoy, and start to plot future activities (still need to place all those cars to drive the Activity Generator.
And, it goes without saying, kudos to Gaetan and Rick for putting together a collection of vintage equipment that will be right at home and distinctively prototypical .
Keep 'em coming!

Thanks, Dave, and I'll pass on your kudos to Rich Shirey as well. I keep finding these little 'vignette' areas to play in, like Port Morris. Gaetan and I will be releasing a bonus to the Maybrook set soon with Delaware Lackawanna & Western equipment, plus some LNE offset side coal hoppers that I 'kitbashed' in TSM from one of Gaetan's models.
Thanks!

When? I am planning to use the Maybrook set for an AG template, and it would be nice to have these as well. _________________ Norman |

Interesting. For the last several days, I have been working on adapting the previous templates to the latest route. If you are already doing one, then perhaps I should back off and let you finish. _________________ Norman |
