Absolutely a frame killer in the Maybrook yard (6 fps). But the real problem I am having is that at any point in the activity if I bring up F11, pause the game or clear a dialog box the act crashed to the desktop. This will make it impossible to complete the act. Any solutions?

James,

... and I had to cut back severely on the loose consists at Maybrook to get UP to 6 FPS!!

First thing I would try is to back off on some of the graphic sliders and see if that helps. Your setup is actually better than mine, so I'm puzzled about the crash.

If that doesn't help, let me know and I'll create a 'lite' version for you.

Rick

I might try to cut back on some static and try. Plus some other things.
Also, in the trailor train act I was waiting for the PRR train, just sitting, crashed to desktop. ???? I have not had to cut back on sliders since my old XP computer and Donner Pass. I do know that the route iyself is intense. Max FPS is in the 20's. Usalaay in the 40- 60 range on most routes. Will experiment.

Wow! I'm running the memory hog operating system (VISTA). I have had a few crashes with the route, but not many and not at the beginning of an activity like the piggyback one.

I can understand how Maybrook Yard might bring a cpu to its knees, but not the other end of the route, there's nothing there!

Wow! I need to proof read closer. Last post full of typo's. I cloned the activity and removed about 40% of static in Maybrook. At the start, act would take the F11 w/o crashing. Approached Maybrook and F11 crashed sim. Puzzled! I should be able to run this with out crashing. Have set up an activity to run the entire route with only my standard test consist. So far no problem but far from Maybrook. May re-install route. Vista 64 is sometimes flakey on installs. APK's install correctly EXCEPT for consists which end up in the virtualstore folder.
