|
|
Hello everybody. I have tried the new activity for the Monon 2 route using the BLW Monon equipment Pack and I got to milepost 111 and I am stopped on a red signal. There is a train in the siding with the clear signal but he is not moving. I don't know if he is an static train on the wrong track or what. There might be an AI train behind him waiting to get into that track but he can't because of the train in the siding and won't move. I have been following the passenger train and I am wondering if he is stopped at the other end and the AI train coming my way is stopped on a red too because of the train in the siding not moving. Let me know if anybody else has had this problem and if there is a fix for this. I don't want to do anything until I know what the problem is.

At milepost 111 (Delphi), there is a meet with a Wabash coal drag, which crosses the junction at 10:41. If you get there earlier than 10:41, you'll need to wait for it.

I made it to Westfield and again I am stopped on a double red signal. Am I waiting on another train or is there something else wrong like a track light or broken rail or something?

No, the last AI traffic is at Frankfort. The Westfield signal has been a problem for some people, as well as Carmel and Broad Ripple signals. Some people have been able to get past these signals by taking the passing siding. I have no idea why that works!!
Rick Berg, the route builder, was trying to simulate standard Monon signalling practice. with the dwarf signals in advance of the semaphore. I think that MSTS does not play well with that approach.
I hope to have some time to work on a revised version. Sorry for the difficulties.

I want to let you know that I finally finished the activity last night. I did take the siding at Westfield and at Ripple and I got by the red signals that way until I came to the triple red signal entering the yard at Indianapoplis. That is where the activity finally ended.

Scott,
Glad you were able to make it through. I'll be doing more activities for the route, so stay tuned!
