Beautiful work as always, Gaetan! As for the new sounds, the roots blower sounds right on, but it seems like the exhaust is a bit too heavy on the bass (rumble) side. Also, should the maxrpmchangerate be set so high (200) ?? Just my 2 cents worth, I grew up in the era of the F-unit.

Hi
I didn't have a subwoofer when I did the sounds so yes, they are a bit heavy on the low end.
As for the strange RPM numbers, these sounds operate completely differently from normal MSTS sounds. All the sounds you hear are samples with no need to fake the speed change by varying the sample rate as normally used with MSTS.
Additionally, to get the sounds to follow the throttle without delay as much as possible, I needed instantaneous responses in the stream to a throttle change.
Roots blower? I'm pretty sure these locos had no turbo or supercharging. The generator did make a unique noise though and I think that might be what you're referring to.

Hi Gary,
I like how the sounds react to the change of the throttle, but I also think the outside sound has too much bass (rumble) compared to the higher frequencies. In the cab it sounds very good for me.

Hi
In an attempt to keep the Screenshots forum mainly about graphcs, please use the thread "Promotional L&N F9 ABA Set - Non Graphical comments" in the "General Discussion" forum for comments about the sounds or running comments/info.
Thanks,
GaryG
