BLW/ZT 2019 Troop Train Bonus (10th Anniversary)

For those of you that are new to our Veteran’s day bonus, a little history:

For Veteran’s Day 2010, I decided to create a model of the Pullman troop sleeper from WWII, in honor of our veterans, following my son’s return from his deployment in Iraq. I pledged that all proceeds I received from this set would be donated to veteran’s charities.

The set was listed on the BLW website for $10, and featured 7 locomotives and 10 troop sleepers and 2 kitchen cars.

Every year since on Veteran’s Day, I have added a bonus to this initial set. Now, the set consists of 23 locomotives and 29 cars. The price stays the same and so does my donation pledge. If you have already purchased this set, I urge you to donate $10 to the Wounded Warrior Project, or the veteran's charity of your choice.

This years bonus will be an upgrade to the original B&O E6 A-B-A set, using the added detail first released in our bonus to the PRR E7 and E8s. Added to this, a pair of Illinois Central E6A units, and a pair of Louisville & Nashville E6A units. This new bonus should be available in December.

my Dad, Corporal John Franzosa - U S Army, who passed away October 30 of this year at the age of 98, 2 days after my parents 75th wedding anniversary.

my son and daughter-in-law, Major Benjamin & Captain Ashlie Franzosa - U S Army, currently on active duty, and expecting their first child (our first grandchild) in March 2020.
