No big deal......I did manage to find 1 photo which took me forever to find but at a very bad angle. And the SP only had 1 SD35 painted in that paint scheme #2968. Like I said no big deal.....I was just curious....Can't wait till they get released to add to my collection of SP motors Cool

Thank you for making the SD35s. I've been waiting many years for a high quality SD35 and you have filled the order wonderfully. Very Happy

The ACL SD35s seem to be missing the rear sealed-beam headlight. The large vertical light mounted high in the back is a Gyralight or Mars light. I think a horizontal dual sealed-beam headlight was mounted just above the numberboards like the other SD35 models. I looked around for a picture, but could only find an HO scale brass model to compare. Did you intentionally model the ACL units this way?

Here is a website that sold a brass HO scale version of the ACL SD35.

http://www.brasstrains.com/Classic/Product/Detail/053516/HO-Brass-Model-Train-OMI-5530-1-ACL-Atlantic-Coast-Line-SD35-Diesel-1002-Custom

The 4th picture to the right shows the rear of the unit. I believe this is the way these headlights were mounted. The horizontal headlights were the standard headlights required by law.

Very few railroads put warning lights on the rear of their 2nd-generation diesel locomotives, ACL & SP being the two I remember. I found it interesting that the rear positions of the red and white Mars lights were opposite the front.

Hi Gaétan,

Just checked with the patch and looks good as seen here.

The ACL engines will feel at home on the updated SAL route. Carey Stevens, the route builder, is expanding the route to complete the scenery on the ACL trackage between Bradenton and Tampa. He is also expected to link the ACL trackage between the Tampa Union Station and the Uceta Yards.

Un grand merci pour les ACL!

Denis

Thank you, sir!

Got them set up for OpenRails this afternoon. They're perfect for Phosphate drags. Smile
