I am having problems with eng file f40ph_ai.eng in a train folder GB VIA F40. I am using MSTS bin. When I start msts it goes through the start up screen, loads everything up, then when it is going in to the screen to select driving a train, it goes to an error screensaying train.exe has encountered a problem. If I take this engine file out It works fine but my route control says GB_viapss.con is missing the engine f40ph_ai.eng. This file is for Northeast Corridor v4. VIA rail Canada Activity pack by Chris Soukas. I hope you understand what I'm asking. Thanks |

The consist GB_VIApass.con requires the file F40ph_ai.eng in the folder GB_VIA_F40.
The new GB VIA F40PH-2 set does not contain a file F40ph_ai.eng. Maybe the previous version of the GB VIA F40 set had this file.
If the file F40ph_ai.eng is causing you problems and you have to delete it from your trainset folder, you can open the file GB_VIApass.con in your ...\Train Simulator\Trains\Consists folder with Wordpad and edit the lines
Engine (
UiD ( 26 )
EngineData ( F40ph_ai GB_VIA_F40 )
to
Engine (
UiD ( 26 )
EngineData ( F40ph GB_VIA_F40 )
and still run the activities.
