|
|
I was writing an activity using some of your F3s for freight pickups
and E8s for passenger AIs.
I found that I could not usually pickup freight cars because the
bounding boxes on the F3As (#9500 and #9525) in PRR Pack 3 were set too
long. I have attached replacement .sd files which work better.
In my activity my freight has difficulty going up the hill to the
Horseshoe curve and is supposed to be passed by the E8 passenger train.
Unfortunatey, I found that with 2 E8As the passenger train slowed down
and could not keep up with the heavy freight. To fix this I went to add
an E8B and found that neither PRR Pack 1 nor 3 contain an E8B.
I can easily modify my activity to use other available PRR F3s and E8s,
but I would rather use your equipment if proper .sd files were available
for the F3s and an E8B was made available.

Bob, you're gonna have to settle for an E8A. E8B's were few and far between, and the PRR never owned any to my knowledge. I checked about on google, found no evidence of a PRR E8B so.. |

PRR Owned 74 E8, all A units
They also had E7's - 46 A units and 14 B units.
PRR only seemd to have B units in numbers for freight service.
Alco PA and PB may have been the exception |

Bob,
I've seen photos with both E7Bs and PBs used with E8As. If you can send me the correct .sd file for the F3, I'll put out a patch.

THANKS!
