Hi-
I recently came across this photo, from The Monon Railroad Historical-Technical Society, POTW archives-
http://www.monon.org/2010potw/07-04LPOTW-F3-52.jpg
I believe that this was their late 1940's freight scheme. It says "The Hoosier Line" on the side of the units. Any one know how long this style lasted before it was replaced with the block type "Monon"?
Maybe, some day, it might make a nice bonus for either of the Monon sets.

Hi Dave,
The scheme was very shortlived. It was the delivery scheme in the mid to late 1940s, gone by 1949, IIRC.
I am going to do a bonus, had not considered this scheme, I was more leaning toward a couple of HW sleepers for the Thoroughbred and French Lick service.... but, ya never know

Thank you for the reply.
One other thing I read about The Monon was that by 1964 almost all of their passenger cars had been painted Black and Gold. Might be nice to throw in a "Rainbow" consist of that time.
