I MIGHT be buying this, I don't quite know yet. I didn't really see any pictures of the interior views, in what cars are there interior passenger views and are there any shots of them? I don't really want to get the pack if there's no passenger view.

Kazareh,

I don't have access to MSTS right now, but the set does have passenger views at minimum for coaches, diners and observation cars.

Hi

A quick glance at files...

1945 set:
Diner and Observation

1949 set:
Coach and Diner

1955 set:
Parlor - There are two virtual views so perhaps another car as well.

These cars all have virtual views so they could all have interior views.

Right. Well, do they look like the other ones(Like the Heritage Amtrak pack's interior), or do they have their own unique flavor in looks?

Kazareh,

Up until the most recent pack (Monon2), I did little with interiors, as I did not have the skill in TSM until recently.

The older the set, the less variation. NYC, GN, PRR all share the same interiors.

There are exceptions. Gaetan, created a specific interior for the GN "Ranch Cars" in the Empire Builder sets (GN1, GN3, GN4). He also modified the coach interiors for C&O to add the mid-car partitions. The prototype cars went to Amtrak and are found in our Amtrak sets as well.

I started making my own interiors for specific cars as far back as the Amtrak NE set (parlor car, obs), and GN set 4 (obs "Appekunny Mountain").

For the Monon2 set, ALL interiors were built using actual floor plans. I reused components from Gaetan's other sets, so there is still a 'familiar' look.

I am now working on the Reading Crusader, it will have a custom interior as well. I will also be creating specific interiors for sleepers and for new heavyweights as we produce them.

This also means that sets will be slower in coming. Monon 2 took me almost 6 months.

Alright, was just wondering. I'll probably get it when I have the spare cash. And I don't have the set, but I saw the screenshots, and you did a good job on the KCS Southern Belle interior, and I absolutely love the SP Daylight, it's one of my favorite purchases from you all. I'll be gettin the PRR Pack when ever I have the spare cash.

Well, I guess that makes sense. The KCS and SP sets aren't mine, they are only Gaetan's.

You like the Master's work! Wink
