As always, I'm a bit behind on adding to my BLW/ZT collection. That, and PayPal has finally accepted my credit card. Anyway, just purchased the Troop Train set but haven't downloaded it yet.
I was wondering if typically there were any freight (such as boxcars, etc.) hauled along with these trains. Also, would these have been seen in Canada during The War?

The only troop cars with freight cars I can recall seeing pictures of were flat cars with vehicles - tanks, trucks, etc. tacked on behind the troop cars, trailed by either a caboose of the RR they were on, or a coach for armed guards. I have seen some photos and at least one film showing this. I can also recall troop trains during the Korean war passing my grandparents house in New Jersey. Though they were mostly conventional coaches and pullmans, many would trail the smae type of loaded cars. |

That might make a neat follow up set. A collection of 1940's Military "TOFC".
I read somewhere that sometimes these trains would have two cabooses, one for the armed guards and one for the regular train crew. |
