Any idea on when the Conn River set will be released? I'm anxiously waiting for it, and Denis' template set!

The route is in the library at Train-Sim.com. It has been there for a few weeks now.

Hi Bill,

You think YOU'RE frustrated? We've been working on it for years! Razz

We are very close to having the set complete. I've been updating the RDC to include new features from Gaetan's model, Chris has been completing and testing the freight cars, Max is working on some Canadian Alcos, and I have to finish a CP caboose and get my super-detailed RS3 to NOT crash MSTS!

Here's a teaser (updated RDC1 on the left)

Doing our best to get this done, stealing time from 'real life'.

Don't get me wrong, we are very excited about this set, not only trying to match the character of the Conn River line, but working very hard to capture the Conn River circa 1956 specifically. One example is the stencilled road number on the RDC, which was specific to 1956.

A lot of credit goes to B&M and CV historical societies, and deep research by Chris Parker to get this exactly right (and of course the years of effort by Paul Charland in creating this incredible 'world' for our equipment).

We sincerely hope this will be worth the wait!

Rick

Rick,

The RDC's look great and we are patiently waiting. Our keyboards are getting a bit wet from all of the teasers we have seen, but we are willing to wait for whatever time is needed.

Rick,

Thanks for the reply!!!! I've been watching and know the whole team has been hard at work on this set!

Like Paul, I'm trying to keep my keyboard dry. Razz

Hi,

Just purchased the ConnRiver set. What a great set. Combined with the 1950 PRR freight set it gives a fantastic roster of cars.

Especially welcomed are the Wood Reefers for meat and produce. This fills a huge gap in what was available.

Just one thing I feel should be corrected. There is a gondola with a Pig Iron load in the set. The load is much to high. Loading Pig Iron would reach the weight limit well before the load would be apparent from trackside. In fact, the car would appear almost empty. Pig Iron was extremely dense.

Thanks for the great set ! Well Worth the price !

Hi Rick,

Quick question. Are you planning on releasing a Passenger Pack for ConnRiver ?

Thx

Jean

Short answer, YES.

Can't commit to a time, though. It will require a lot of new passenger car shapes.

If you bought the CV set there's a bonus of 2 CV RS3's, Milk Cars, baggage, RPO & Coaches in CV colours. I had to tweak the sound in the .eng files to match the latest (?) RS3 sound files but they look pretty good in the route.
